RONNY MUNROE's 'Delirium' Video To Debut This Week
December 19, 2009Former METAL CHURCH singer Ronny Munroe filmed a video for the song "Delirium" on October 17 at Fitzgerald's in Houston, Texas during his solo band's Texas Meltdown Tour with HELSTAR. The clip was directed by W. Ross Wells of Houston, Texas and tells the story of "a tortured man who's caught between reality and an insane asylum," according to a press release.
Fan-filmed footage of the video shoot can be viewed below.
Delirium" comes off Munroe's solo debut, "The Fire Within", which was released in April via Rat Pak Records.
Munroe is "here to stay," says Rat Pak Records owner/founder Joe O'Brien. "Anyone that thought his career would simmer after METAL CHURCH announced their break-up is sadly mistaken," continues O'Brien. "'The Fire Within' is really about the drive, spirit, and determination that Ronny has, not only to continue the legacy of metal music for the fans, but to demonstrate just what it takes to always stay in forward motion in today’s music industry."
Ronny Munroe's solo band includes former METAL CHURCH guitarist Rick Van Zandt.
Ex-METAL CHURCH guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof had encouraged Munroe for some time to do a solo project. With METAL CHURCH's plans to tour in support of their new album on hold, this offered an opportunity for Munroe to do so.
Munroe had 15 original songs to choose from for the CD, which was co-produced by the singer and Vanderhoof.
Ronny said these songs show a wider vocal range, bigger choruses and different melodies compared to his work in METAL CHURCH.
